STANDARD TICKET: Expire 70 minutes after being being issued by in-bus ticket machines, or in the case of prepaid tickets (available in accredited stores), after first use.
The Standard Ticket permits the transfer between any bus line up to three times, so long as it the ticket is checked into the bus’s ticket machine within 70 minutes of its issue/first use.
Prepaid Standard Tickets can be found in OASTH stores as well as in ~1500 accredited stores throughout the city. Please bear in mind that tickets issued by the in-bus ticket machines have a slight cost increase over prepaid tickets (0.60 € for regular, 0.30 € for reduced).

24 HOUR TICKET: Expire 24 hours after being issued/first use and do not require to be rechecked after (even after changing line).
Prepaid Standard Tickets can be found in OASTH stores as well as in ~1500 accredited stores throughout the city.
CAUTION: Be forewarned that should a 24 hour ticket expire while in transit, you will be required to purchase a new ticket, or use a new pre-paid one.

WEEKLY TICKET: Expire at midnight, 7 days after issue/first use. After being checked into a bus ticket-machine, they do not require rechecking.
Weekly tickets can only be purchased from OASTH stores.

Unlimited ride boarding pass provides unlimited rides for all bus routes as long as they are valid.Each unlimited ride boarding pass (monthly, quarterly, biannually, annual) is accompanied with an ID provided by O.A.S.TH. which presents name and picture of the owner and the ID number with which was published for that specific owner.

To purchase this ID the owner must present his Police ID, Passport or Driving license along with a picture. In case the owner is entitled to the benefit of a reduced ticket fee he is demanded to support it necessary documents to get the appropriate ID.

Unlimited ride boarding pass are available for purchase from O.A.S.TH. booking offices within the last ten days of the month if the passenger wishes to purchase one for the coming month or the first ten days of the month if the passenger wishes to purchase a pass for the current month.

Unlimited ride boarding passes that are lost for any reason are not replaced.

REGULATION N.1214/81 (Φ.Ε.Κ. 286 Α) FOR THE CONTROL OF FARES

• Upon boarding the bus, you must check your ticket IMMEDIATELY, or purchase one from the ticket machine.
• If you are entitled to a reduced ticket, you must have supporting documents on your person.
• If you do not have documents to support your reduced ticket, you must purchase a regular ticket in order to travel.
• Passengers traveling without a ticket or card are subject to a fine that is determined by consensus of the Ministry of Economy, Transportation and Communication (the fine is 60 times the price of the necessary ticket). This fine is also applicable to passengers with a reduced ticket that fail to present appropriate supporting documentation.
• If issued a fine, the passenger is required to either to pay immediately, or provide a document with his personal details (such as a passport). Should such documents not be provided, the inspector has the right to ask for police intervention.
• Payment of fines can be done:
  • Immediately upon its issue.
  • To the OASTH offices (Papanastasiou 90), within 20 days of their issue.
• If the fine is not paid, OASTH maintains the right to pursue criminal charges towards the offender.

CAUTION: In order to use reduced-price tickets it is necessary to present supporting documentation upon request.
